This week we learned about Newton’s 2nd and 3rd Law. To test Newton’s 2nd Law, we had to people pull a cart. Each trial, another person got on the car. The people pulling had to apply the same force every time. It showed that the smaller the mass, the greater the acceleration, and the more mass, the smaller acceleration. For the 3rd Law, two people got onto two different carts. One person on the cart pushed of and the other stayed still. Yet they both went in opposite directions. We later tested and found out that they both exerted the same amount of force but because of the difference in mass, a different outcome occurred. It is important to know about forces and what may occur incase of a car accident, getting into a fight, etc.
