Last week there was no blogging. This week went by fairly fast. We learned about velocity, and how to graph it in a motion diagram. We also had a test on Friday.
Velocity is like speed, but it also tells the direction of the object, if it is slowing down, going in negative direction, etc. A motion diagram is similar to the other motion diagrams, but this tells the velocity. It is an addition to a motion diagram, for each second there is a new velocity. We learned about velocity by doing worksheets with our tablemates. That is basically it for the week.
Velocity tells which direction an object is moving. The absolute value of velocity is speed.
